Veterans can win a 7-Eleven franchise
Veterans from the U.S. armed forces in the Finger Lakes region can take part in a national contest organized by 7-Eleven.
“Operation: Take Command” is taking applications from military men and women who have been honorably discharged. To qualify, veterans must be 21 years or older, be a U.S. resident, must have excellent credit and at least three years of leadership experience in retail or restaurants. From all the applications, 7-Eleven’s leadership will pick 25 semifinalists who will have to submit a video explaining why they deserve the grand prize.
The grand prize, of course, is winning a 7-Eleven franchise without having to pay the franchise fee, an amount that typically ranges up to $190,000.
In the Rochester area, there are 73 7-Eleven stores and a vast majority are open for franchising.
7-Eleven will select the final 7 contestants and the public will be allowed to pick the final 3 via votes on the 7-Eleven Facebook page. 7-Eleven will pick the final winner. To apply, visit veteransfranchisegiveaway.com.
