Pizza in Chile? Little Caesars says, ‘Yes!’
Little Caesars is putting their pizza in Chile, where consumers are increasingly demanding “takeaway” brands that offer value per serving.
The Detroit-based brand opened its first South American restaurant on June 15, in Santiago, which a news release said is an extension of the chain’s Latin American growth spurt. The brand already has outlets in Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama.
Little Caesars and its area franchisee, Premier Caesars Chile SpA, say this is a prime growth opportunity for the brand, which has plans to put 30 more of the chain’s hot-n-ready restaurants in Chile alone.
Little Caesars has made a name for itself nationally as a fast, value-based pizza chain. South America will be no exception; the Santiago location offers a large classic pepperoni or cheese pizza for 5,000 pesos ($7.57).
“Our hot-n-ready model is unique among quick service restaurants and we’re excited to be able to introduce it to new markets in South America and around the world,” Little Caesars Pizza Senior Vice President of International Paula Vissing said in a news release.
With the opening of the Santiago location, Little Caesars Pizza has restaurants on six of the world’s seven continents. No word whether Antarctica might ever get an outlet.
