Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon get Nestle Toll House Cafes by Chip
Nestle Toll House Café by Chip is expanding by leaps and bounds across the Middle East, including a late-summer opening by franchisee Mohammed Idan of the brand’s sixth Iraq location, this one at Baghdad Mall, a news release said.
Not long the Iraq opening, Tahoe Foods SARL franchisee Hassan Ali Safa opened Lebanon’s sixth café in The Spot Choueifat. This will be followed soon by Kuwait’s 18th location, operated by franchise owner Sulaiman Al Wazzan inside the Kuwait Credit Bank Building on Shuhada Street. Kuwait is now the largest Middle East market for the brand, according to the release.
Also recently, five agreements for locations in Saudi Arabia were signed, as well as four agreements for additional sites in Lebanon. The release said that, over the next 12 months, Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip plans to open 30 more cafes in the area.
“We have made a concerted effort to expand our brand throughout the Middle East, and thanks to our outstanding franchisee partners in the region, our growth is accelerating significantly,” said Crest Foods President Ziad S. Dalal, whose company is the franchisor for Nestlé Toll House Café by Chip. “It’s humbling to receive such overwhelming support as we spread this wonderful concept across Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, and we still have plenty of room for continued expansion in these and other nations.”
