Domino’s Australia gives vegans the pies they want
Domino’s Australia is launching a range of vegan pizzas that use vegan mozzarella — including the vegan avocado veg, vegan spicy trio and vegan margherita — at all of the chain’s 600-plus stores Down Under.
Vegans do not eat or use any animal-derived products, including milk, eggs and leather. Domino’s Australia will test the three vegan offerings nationwide and the chain said that, based on customer feedback, will decide whether to make the vegan cheese used on the pies a regular featured menu item viagra preis.
The chain said also that customers can now convert any pizza on the menu to comply with a vegan diet by swapping dairy-derived mozzarella for the vegan variety for an extra $2.95. The chain’s sauce and crusts are already vegan-friendly, the release said.
“Domino’s is excited to launch the product to the menu,” Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight said. “This is also great news for people with allergies and food sensitivities as it contains no dairy, gluten or soy.”
The decision to add vegan cheese followed a survey on the company’s Facebook page late last year to test demand for the product across Australia.
“We were blown away by the response to the survey and for this product in general,” Knight said. “At Domino’s, we pride ourselves on our ‘people-powered pizza’ mantra and listen to what our customers want. The popularity of, and demand for, vegan products has increased considerably over the years.”
